Welcome to Hadi (“the app,” “the service”). Hadi is an Islamic companion application developed by Medorius Ltd (“we,” “our,” “us”) in partnership with Middle Community, a registered charity based in the United Kingdom.
By downloading, installing, or using Hadi, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the app. We recommend reading these Terms alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data.
Hadi is a free Islamic companion app designed to support your daily worship and spiritual practice. The app provides features including, but not limited to, accurate prayer times based on your location, Qibla compass direction, a Quran reader with Tajweed support, nearby mosque search, an Islamic (Hijri) calendar, Adhan (call to prayer) notifications, and educational Islamic content.
These features are provided in good faith to assist your religious practice. While we strive for accuracy, the app should be used as a guide and supplement to your own knowledge and the guidance of qualified scholars.
Hadi is available to users of all ages. However, certain features such as account creation and making donations require you to be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you are under 13, you may use the app’s core features but should not create an account or make payments without parental or guardian consent.
Creating a Hadi account is entirely optional. The app’s core features, including prayer times, Qibla direction, Quran reader, and mosque search, are fully accessible without an account.
If you choose to create an account, you agree to provide accurate and complete information, including a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
When you create an account, we store your email address, prayer settings, preferences, and any bookmarks or saved content you choose to sync. This allows you to maintain a consistent experience across devices. Full details of what data is collected and how it is used can be found in our Privacy Policy.
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at the email address provided below. Upon deletion, your account data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are used for fraudulent purposes, or are used in a manner that could harm other users or the integrity of the service.
When using Hadi, you agree not to:
Hadi calculates prayer times using established astronomical calculation methods and recognised Islamic conventions. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy, prayer times may vary depending on your chosen calculation method, geographical location, and local conditions. We recommend verifying prayer times with your local mosque or Islamic authority, particularly during critical periods such as Ramadan.
The Islamic content provided within the app, including Quran text, supplications, and educational material, is offered for informational and devotional purposes. It is not a substitute for personal study or guidance from qualified Islamic scholars. We do not provide fatwas or personalised religious rulings.
The Qibla compass feature relies on your device’s magnetometer and location sensors. Accuracy may be affected by magnetic interference, device calibration, or environmental factors. We recommend calibrating your device’s compass regularly and cross-referencing with other reliable sources.
Hadi may offer the ability to make voluntary donations to Middle Community or other charitable causes through the app. All payments are processed by third-party payment providers, including Razorpay, Stripe, Paystack, and PayPal.
By making a donation, you acknowledge that:
If you experience any issues with a payment or wish to request a refund in exceptional circumstances, please contact us at the email address below.
All content, design, code, graphics, logos, and other materials within Hadi are the intellectual property of Medorius Ltd or our licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Quranic text and Islamic supplications are part of the shared Islamic heritage and are not claimed as our proprietary content. However, the specific presentation, layout, design, and any accompanying translations or annotations within the app are protected.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This licence does not grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or other intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the app.
Hadi integrates with third-party services to deliver certain features, including Google Maps for mosque location services and mapping, and payment processors for handling donations. These services operate independently of Hadi and are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of any third-party service.
The app may also contain links to external websites or resources. We do not endorse and are not responsible for the content or accuracy of any external sites.
We strive to keep Hadi available and functioning reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The app may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the app at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to inform users of significant changes through the app or our website.
Hadi is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors or defects. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content provided through the app, including prayer times, Qibla direction, or Islamic educational content.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Medorius Ltd, Middle Community, and their respective directors, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or damages resulting from reliance on prayer times or other content provided by the app.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the app shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Medorius Ltd, Middle Community, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We encourage you to contact us first if you have any concerns or disputes, as we will always try to resolve matters informally and amicably before any formal proceedings.
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the app’s features, or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms within the app or on our website, with a revised “Last updated” date.
Your continued use of the app after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the app and, if applicable, delete your account.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
